Rain is pouring down my windowpane as I write this, enjoying a hot cup of tea on this quiet, rainy Sunday afternoon. My original plan was to launch this website once I had completed my decade-long journey into medicine, when I would finally have a moment to breathe, catch up with life, and begin building a practice around the things I am passionate about. I imagined creating something meaningful, something that brings me joy and hopefully adds value to the lives of others.

But life had other plans. We now find ourselves in the midst of a once-in-a-century pandemic. Exams are being postponed, the healthcare system is under immense strain, and the world feels like it has paused. In this pause, I realised there was no reason to wait any longer. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time: connect with like-minded individuals, build a supportive community, and create a space that encourages personal growth. More than anything, I know this will help me keep going.

So here I am, sharing the purpose behind this blog, what I hope to achieve, and why I’m here. If any of our interests align, I would love for you to join me. Maybe someday we’ll have long conversations over coffee, exchange ideas, and enrich each other’s lives. Here are some of my reasons:

I love writing.

I truly do. I’ve been journaling since high school and have written countless articles, stories, and blog posts over the years. Much of my work has lived in scattered notebooks and forgotten folders, so I wanted a single home for it all. You’ll find bits of everything here: dear diary moments, everyday musings, travel stories, recipes, and the occasional midnight burst of inspiration.

I want to share the world of Pathology.

When I was a soon-to-be Pathologist, I felt it was important to share more about my field. There is so much medical misinformation online, and instead of adding to the noise, I want to create a safe, thoughtful space where questions are welcome and meaningful conversations can happen.

I want to break myths about Pathology.

Do you know what a Pathologist actually does? What Pathology really is? If not, stay tuned. It is a fascinating world of medicine, almost like detective work, and I am excited to bring you into it.

I believe in education and empowerment.

I advocate for my patients, and for myself, through education. Knowledge empowers us to make informed decisions about our own health. This space is my effort to break down complex concepts into simple, digestible pieces so that you feel more confident and informed on your health journey.

I want to share the human side of me.

I’m not just a doctor. I’m a daughter, a wife, a friend, and someone who is continuously trying to grow. I am, like all of us, a work in progress, and I want this space to reflect that.

If any of this resonates with you, come say hello.Until next time.
